Cradle Rental in Bangalore — Naming Ceremony Cradles from Whitefield to JP Nagar
· 6 min read
Silver, teak, golden and royal chain cradles on rent in Bangalore for Namakarana ceremonies — prices, sizes and tips for apartment and hall functions.
Many Bangalore families live far from their hometowns, in gated apartments across Whitefield, Sarjapur Road and Electronic City. When the Namakarana comes around, there is no ancestral cradle to bring out — so renting a cradle in Bangalore is the simplest way to get a beautiful, traditional centrepiece.
Cradles available in Bangalore
- Silver Peacock Cradle — ₹5,500 per event. The showpiece choice for clubhouse and hall functions.
- Silver Cradle — ₹5,000 per event. Classic silver finish without the peacock detailing.
- Traditional Teak Cradle — ₹2,500 per event. Warm wood tone for home poojas.
- Golden Baby Cradle — ₹2,300 per event. Bright and festive at a modest price.
- Royal Chain Cradle — ₹2,200 per event. Swing-style cradle on a decorative frame.
- Classic Teak Cradle — ₹2,200 per event. Compact enough for most apartments.
- Royal Chain Lotus Cradle — ₹2,000 per event. Lotus detailing that suits floral themes.
Apartment vs hall: what to pick
- Apartment living room: classic teak, golden or lotus cradles fit through lifts and standard doors
- Clubhouse or party hall in Marathahalli, HSR Layout or Hebbal: a silver cradle gives the stage presence you need
- Check with your apartment association about service-lift access and delivery timings
- Allow space around the cradle for elders to perform the naming rituals comfortably
Add swings, urli and a backdrop
Families often combine the cradle with a teak wood oonjal or golden jhula for the parents, a white floral backdrop and a welcome board stand. For décor ideas, see our Bangalore backdrop guide.
